One of the most rewarding opportunities available to American University students is the opportunity to present and share undergraduate research to fellow students and the university’s outstanding faculty. Besides being a great experience for those advancing to graduate school, presenting undergraduate research can serve as a great way to meet and exchange ideas with your fellow students that share your academic and/or professional interests.
The photos above were taken at the School of International Service’s bi-annual Introduction to International Research Poster Conference, in which students enrolled in an undergraduate research methods course are able to present their projects and findings in a professional setting.
To get a sense of the type of projects pursued by American University students this past semester, see the flier below!
Some other examples of AU’s commitment to advancing undergraduate research include AU’s Undergraduate Research Travel Grant Program and the Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.
For those seeking to make undergraduate research part of their college experience, we hope that American University is the place for you!
